The second book that we are reading through in our Daily Bible Reading Plan is Mark’s Gospel. This is the shortest of the life accounts of Jesus and is packed with action.

At the very start of his Gospel Mark tells us that he is writing the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ the Son of God.  In Mark 1:15 as Jesus begins his public ministry he proclaims, “Repent and believe the good news!”  In light of these observations you may find the following questions will be helpful to consider as you read through the book:

  • How does this chapter show us that Jesus is good news?
  • How should we repent as a result of this chapter?
  • What will it mean for our lives to believe the good news about Jesus in this chapter?

The video below is produced by The Bible Project and gives a more detailed introduction to the book. Enjoy!
