There are lots of groups and activities run at Beccles Baptist Church for children. All the groups listed below are led by dedicated teams of volunteers. As a church we have a child protection policy and we ask all people serving with children to complete a police background check.
Babies and Toddlers
Our Babies & Toddlers group meets on Mondays during school term-time. There are lots for the children to do with plenty of toys to play with, crafts to make, songs to sing, and drinks and snacks to enjoy. Parents and carers are able to enjoy tea and coffee and some snacks too, as well as a chance to get to talk together.
This group is run by a dedicated team of volunteers that seek to provide a great environment for all who come.
JAM is our children’s & youth club that runs on Wednesday evenings during term-time. There are two parts to the club with a club for children (5-10s) downstairs and a club for young people (11-16) upstairs in the church premises. There are a host of activities: crafts, challenges, computer consoles, indoor football, table-tennis, table football, tuck shop, etc. etc. All of which is run by a dedicated team of volunteers.

On Sundays Babies and young children, aged 0-4, are looked after in the creche during the morning service. There are lots of toys to play with and some snacks to enjoy. A team of volunteers runs this group, meaning parents don’t need to stay out of the service with their children. For the older children there is a story from the Bible and a craft to complete.
Parents are invited to take their children out to creche after about 20-25 minutes of the morning service. Then after the morning service ends they are able to collect their children from the creche.
Our Sunday school runs during our morning services for children aged 5-9 years old. The children are taught the Bible in an age-appropriate setting. There are are crafts, games and snacks. The group is run by a dedicated team of volunteers.
The young people head out to Sunday School after about 20-25 minutes of the morning service. Then after the morning service ends parents are able to collect their children from the group.
Quest for Christ
This is our Sunday school for older children, aged 10-14 years old. It runs during the morning service. The young people are taught the Bible in an age-appropriate setting. There are are games, activities and hot chocolate.
The young people head out to Quest for Christ after about 20-25 minutes of the morning service. Then after the morning service ends parents are able to collect their young people from the group.
