For 2019 we are launching a Daily Bible Reading Plan at Beccles Baptist Church. This will take us through the New Testament and Psalms in the year, requiring us to read about a chapter a day.

We are doing this because we are convinced that there are no more significant personal habits in helping us live for Christ than daily Bible reading and prayer.

How will it work?

  • From Sunday 23 December we’ll be have booklets available that outline the daily readings for the whole year. The readings are part of the M’Cheyne Bible Reading plan, that people may be familiar with. In this booklet there are also questions for each book that will help us understand what God is saying to us.
  • In addition to the reading plan, we’ll also speak on the day’s passage at every Prayer Meeting for the year.  Our Sunday services will also feature some verses from the Bible readings from one of the days leading up to Sunday.

It’s our prayer that reading the same portion of the Bible together as a church family will enable us to encourage one another as we live for Christ.  If you’d rather not follow this Bible reading plan that’s fine. But do make sure that you make it a priority to meet God in his word throughout 2019.

We are doing this because we are convinced that there are no more significant personal habits in helping us live for Christ than daily Bible reading and prayer.
